In the twilight hours, when the sky above Sukta Um, bled into shades of crimson and gold, a storm unlike no other brewed on the horizon. The Global Operations of Defense (G.O.D), the clandestine intelligence arm and all seeing eye of the the Elluminated Nations of Democracy (END), engineered an egregious plot, to initiate the final phase of the build up to the SAD END War.
Sekta Um, a sovereign nation rich in precious resources yet devoted in its resistance to the END's new world order, found itself in the crosshairs of an unseen enemy. Like all nations of the time, It was a country divided, by communities seeking to preserve their cultural traditions amidst the global influences of the END.
Deep in the forrests of Sekta Um, whispers of ancient secrets of the old world, echoed throughout the nation in an attempt to drown out the hum of the END’s technological advancement. Tensions had been building, as the oligarchs and ruler of Sekta Um, ruled with an authoritarian thumb, and the younger generations grasped for the games and global social platforms that gave them a small preview of life in the END.
The END capitalized on the younger generations embrace of advanced technologies. They understood that the key to dividing nations that did not pledge their allegiance to the END's global agenda, was through the indoctrination of their children. In the end, it was the youth they wanted, not the ailing populations that held onto their traditions and their knowledge of self-reliance in the absense of industry and technology.
The SAD END War had culminated for nearly a century. The END was at the precipice of it's plan for world domination, and was nearing the final stage for taking over it's biggest adversary and land of natural resources it was sitting on. This final stage of the build up, required careful orchestration of placing the sacraficial lamb within Sutka Um, and use the sacrafice as the purpose for its means, which was to tell the world, it is a necessary evil for the survival of humanity to destroy those who oppose utopia and a united world. They had to make it look the the SAD (States Against Democracy) was responsible, because it was not just a land grab, but a grab for the last great nation outside of the SAD END oroborous. If the SADs were to take over Sutka Um before the END, the fate of the war would be undecided, whereas it was all the END needed to make the fate of the war all but decided.
The G.O.D had chosen the sacrifice that would serve as the catalyst to reign in the SAD END War—an extremist faction of the SAD, the ESAD, a small rogue group known for its ruthless tactics and opposition to the END. By making the SAD the apparent perpetrator, the G.O.D aimed not only to weaken Sukta Um but also to justify their intervention in the eyes of the world to stop the SADs and take over the largest nation of resources that did not belong to either the SAD or the END, it belonged to Mikhail Vladislav Drakov, the authoritarian leader of Saktu Um, and the oligarchs that raised him to power.
The plan was executed with the timely precision that required decades if planning. Drones, unmarked and ghostly silent, descended upon Sukta Um’s capital, Gorod, under the cloak of night. They carried no conventional weapons; instead, their payload was far more deceitful. Cybernetic insects, thats appeared like mosquitos, swarmed through the city's defenses, infiltrating security systems, communications networks, and power grids, and injecting citizens with a neurological bioweapon, called Echthros, created from the bioengineered hydra-like parasite Apirarium intellectus.
In the command center far from Sukta Um, tucked deep in the undergrounds of EDEN (European District of the Elluminated Nations), Commander Wolfram Eisenherz, watched the operation unfold. His face, lit up by the soft glow of monitors, was a mask of concentration. Commander Eisenherz had been alive for more than two centuries, and his ancestory line traced back to the original Elluminates, and first European colonizers. He played an essential role in every major war since the American Civil War.
The cybernetic swarm did its work silently, sowing chaos without a single explosion. Traffic systems malfunctioned, causing gridlocks and accidents. Emergency services were overwhelmed with false alarms, diverting attention from the real crisis. And at the heart of it all, falsified digital evidence began to surface, pointing squarely at the SAD.
As dawn broke, the world awoke to a city in turmoil. The news spread like wildfire, images of chaos and disorder dominating the headlines. Sukta Um, once a symbol of defiance against the END, was now one of vulnerability. The END quickly took into action promising the world to send G.O.D's legions to aid Sutka Um in solidarity. They would not stop fighting until every SADist was neutralized and promised to leave the nation to the Suktas.
While they promised the world to leave Sutka Um to its people, Prestident Draknov knew and had known all along what was planned. Draknov had a ring of spies, the Tikhiye Ekho, that had infiltrated the G.O.D before the beginning of the SAD END Cold War.
From where General Eisenherz sat watching on the monitors of the command center of the all seeing eye, everything was going as planned, but Draknov had taken the Sutka Um civilization underground decades ago, and they were far from the civilization stuck in ancient tradition at the top. Draknov could see everything that the all seeing eye of G.O.D could see, as well as General Eisenherz.
The stage was set for a confrontation that would shake the foundations of the new global order of the END. In the shadows of Sukta Um, a new chapter of resistance was about to begin.
